Uptime Kuma hosting with one-click install
Uptime Kuma checks your websites and services and alerts you when one goes down. That only helps if it keeps running when the rest of your setup does not, which is why a separate small server is a good home for it. natbox installs it for you on Box, at $1.25 a month, with root SSH if you want to look inside.

How to set up Uptime Kuma
- Order Box and choose Uptime Kuma as the one-click app, on Debian or Ubuntu.
- Open the address shown in the App tab of the client area.
- Create your admin account straight away. Until you do, anyone who finds the page can create it.
- Link a domain, so your dashboard uses HTTPS.
The full walkthrough is in the guide: Run Uptime Kuma.
Limits for Uptime Kuma
- natbox servers are Linux containers, so the usual Docker install does not work. The one-click install does not use Docker.
- Email alerts need an email service over port 2525 or an API, because outgoing ports 25, 465 and 587 are blocked (email guide).
- If you watch sites hosted on natbox, remember that this server is on natbox too, so it cannot warn you about an outage of natbox itself.
Uptime Kuma hosting questions
Why not run Uptime Kuma at home?
If your home connection or main server goes down, a monitor in the same place goes down with it and cannot tell you.
Can Uptime Kuma check services on IPv6?
Yes. Your server has both shared IPv4 and its own routed /80 of IPv6, so it can reach sites and services on either.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes. Link it in the Domains tab of the client area, and ports 80 and 443 for that domain go straight to your server.
