natbox.io is run by Mohammad AlSaraf from Kuwait. The servers are in a Contabo data centre in Germany. It is a small service, so your support request reaches the people who run it, and we reply within 24 hours.
We rent our server from Contabo because its large servers give a lot of RAM for the money, which is what keeps plans this cheap.
natbox offers NAT VPS hosting from $1 a month: small Linux servers with root SSH, a routed /80 of IPv6 and forwarded IPv4 ports. Servers run on modern Incus containers and are live in under a minute.
Why so cheap?
IPv4 addresses are scarce and expensive. Sharing one between many servers, and giving each server its own block of ports, is what keeps the price low. Read what a NAT VPS is.
Who it suits, and who it does not
- A good fit: bots, small websites and APIs, personal VPNs, monitoring, learning Linux and small game servers for friends.
