Terms of Service

Last updated 30 October 2026

1. Who we are

natbox.io is operated by Mohammad AlSaraf ("natbox", "we", "us"). By creating an account or ordering a service you ("you", "the customer") agree to these terms, our Acceptable Use Policy, our Refund Policy and our Privacy Policy.

2. Your account

3. The service

A natbox server is an unprivileged Linux container (Incus LXC) with the resources listed for its plan. It shares one public IPv4 address with other customers and receives a block of forwarded ports on it, plus a routed IPv6 /80.

4. Payment and renewal

5. Suspension and termination

You can cancel any service from the client area at any time. If you cancel at the end of the billing period, it stays active until the paid period ends, is suspended 2 days later and is deleted 14 days after that. If you cancel immediately, it is deleted straight away. Unused time is not refunded, except under the 7-day guarantee in our Refund Policy.

We may suspend or terminate a service, with or without notice, if it breaks these terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, puts our network, our IP reputation or other customers at risk, or if we are required to by law. Where the problem is minor and fixable we will normally contact you first and give you time to fix it. Services terminated for abuse are not refunded.

6. Your data and backups

You own your data. We do not access the contents of your server except when needed to investigate abuse, to keep the service running, or when the law requires it.

You are responsible for keeping your own backups. Host-level snapshots we keep for disaster recovery are not a backup service for you and are not guaranteed to exist or to be restorable on request.

When a service is terminated, its data is deleted and cannot be recovered.

7. Uptime

We aim for 99.9% availability each month, measured by our monitoring and shown on status.natbox.io, not counting scheduled maintenance (announced there at least 24 hours ahead where possible) and events outside our control, such as attacks on our upstream network or outages at our hosting provider. This is a target, not a guarantee. If your server is unavailable for more than 1% of a calendar month (about 7 hours) because of a fault on our side, open a ticket within 7 days after that month and we will add account credit for that month's share of the downtime: for example, 10% downtime earns 10% of that month's price. Credits are the only remedy for downtime and cannot be paid out.

8. Liability

The service is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, or lost data, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the affected service in the 3 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

You agree to cover our reasonable costs and losses caused by your breach of these terms or of the law.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For significant changes we will email you or post a notice in the client area at least 14 days before they take effect. If you keep using the service after that, you accept the new terms.

10. Law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of Germany, and the German courts have jurisdiction, unless the law of your country of residence gives you the right to use your local courts.

Questions? Open a ticket in the client area or email support@natbox.io. We reply within 24 hours.
